Questions & answers
These are the questions couples ask me most – and what I honestly answer. If you want to get married just the two of you, in an intimate setting or in the mountains: that is my everyday work. More about me, why I photograph this way and how I got married myself is on About.
An elopement is a wedding that feels like you: often just the two of you, sometimes with your closest people, usually outdoors. Less schedule, more space for what happens between you.
A destination wedding is a wedding in a place you choose – the Alps, the Dolomites, Madeira, Lofoten, Gran Canaria or anywhere in the world. Many of my couples do both: they get married in an intimate setting and travel somewhere that feels like them.
Yes. That is the heart of my work. I got married in the Tyrolean mountains myself – not big, not by a rigid plan, but in a way that felt like us. Today I photograph couples who want to get married just the two of them: in the mountains, by a lake, in the Alps or far from home.
You do not need a long guest list. You need quiet, space, and someone who holds the day with you instead of staging it. More about why I work this way is on my About page.
It means fewer guests – or none – less timeline, more closeness. Some call it a micro wedding, an intimate wedding, or simply: we do it our way.
That can be a mountain ceremony with two witnesses, an elopement just the two of you, or a small celebration after the civil wedding. I photograph the day as it is – not as a traditional wedding is supposed to look.
A mountain wedding often begins before the vows: the hike, the light, the weather, the silence. I plan location, timing and a plan B with you so you feel safe. As a mountain person with training in high-altitude tours and meteorology, that matters to me.
Summit, alpine pasture, lake or Dolomites: a mountain wedding does not need a stage. It needs you, the landscape, and time. Packages are on the pricing page.
I am based in Upper Austria and photograph mainly in the Alps: Austria, Bavaria, Switzerland, South Tyrol. For destination weddings I travel – to Madeira, Lofoten, Venice, Gran Canaria and further when the place fits you.
Stories live in the elopement journal – from hiking weddings to mountain ceremonies.
Probably not. I am an elopement and destination wedding photographer. My couples want to get married just the two of them, in an intimate setting, or in the mountains. If you want a large celebration with many guests and a fixed schedule, I am not the right photographer – and that is completely fine.
If a quieter day feels like you, write to me via the contact page.
Yes. For many of my couples the ceremony in the mountains is where everything comes together: the words, the vastness, the vows without church walls. I photograph the ceremony and the day around it – and can help you plan the location.

Yes. Destination wedding means we go where your story belongs. Some couples marry in the Alps and celebrate later elsewhere. Others travel on purpose – island, fjord, old town, summit.
If you are already married and want to relive the day, I also photograph after-wedding shoots: in the mountains or, for example, in Venice.
You are not alone. I do not put you through a posing programme. I walk with you while you hike, laugh, wait, take each other’s hand. The pictures happen in between – unstaged, even in the rain. Our own after-wedding photos in Tyrol were made in the rain. That is what made them feel real.
